Nursery plants establish the core beauty of a garden.
We keep our garden centre well stocked with a wide variety of healthy nursery plants that thrive in the Nova Scotian climate.
Our nursery is teaming with:
Vines & Groundcover
Trees and Fruit Trees
As yards shrink in size, there is demand for smaller plants with multi-season appeal, and multiple functions such as edible ornamentals.
We stock fruit-bearing trees, ground covers and broad leaf evergreens that can beautify your garden while providing fresh produce as well.
Where you plant nursery plants is key.
The knowledgeable folks at Atlantic Gardens will help you decide where your plants should go in the ground. Take a few snaps of your yard on your phone before you come see us!
Spring flowering shrubs such as Forsythias, Lilacs, Azaleas and Rhododendrons should be pruned AFTER they finish blooming. If these shrubs are pruned in the spring, the flower buds will be pruned off. These shrubs should be pruned in the fall before they set bud.
